There are a number of things you can do to keep your Math skills sharp this summer.
Times Tables
Make sure you know your tables up to 12. Practice with a relative or friend regularly. Play “Fizz Buzz” with your friends and parents and challenge yourself to return to school in August with the ability to answer any multiplication problem immediately.
Fractions
Practice all operations with fractions. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Here are some activities to help you remember how to do these operations and a test to complete: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/maths/number/fractions_2_intro.shtml
If you have forgotten how to divide fractions, use this link:

Working with Decimals
The best way to get around working with decimals is to do an estimation before you do the working out. E.g. if you have 4.85 multiplied by 2.1, you should estimate that the answer should be about 10.
If you make a mistake and place the decimal in the wrong place, you will know that your answer will be wrong.
Therefore if you get 97 as your answer in the above, you know you have done something wrong. (correct answer 9.7)
Here are some lessons and test activities for you to complete:

If you have gotten this far...well done. You have noticed these links are all to one website. The reason being, all the activities here are very useful to help you remember the skills we have covered.
If you would like to go further - excellent!
